Reeds have long been transformed into handicrafts, but the market was often limited. THORR's has upgraded and standardized the products for modern markets, while preserving cultural heritage, empowering local women artisans in multiple provinces, and creating a thriving bioeconomy. This model of cultural preservation, economic transformation, and women's empowerment is expanding beyond Thailand, genearating income for sustainable livelihoods across the ASEAN region.
 
Thannapat "Ing" Kingsuwan, founder of THORR's, is a visionary designer and entrepreneur from Baan Srang Thor Village, Thailand. With a background in Industrial Design and a passion for cultural preservation, she has revolutionized traditional handicrafts for modern markets. Her expertise spans product design, graphics, and business management, allowing her to transform overlooked resources like sedge into sought-after, sustainable products. Her work with THORR's has empowered local artisans, particularly women, creating economic opportunities in rural Thailand. Ing's innovative designs have garnered international recognition, leading to successful showcases in Japan and at the prestigious Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre.
