Morakot Tanticharoen
Senior Advisor to the President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency Thailand (NSTDA)Morakot Tanticharoen holds the position of Senior Advisor to the President of the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). Additionally, she is a Professor Emeritus affiliated with the School of Bioresources and Technology at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and offers her advisory expertise to KMUTT's President. In the period spanning from 2000 to 2008, Mrs. Morakot assumed the role of Director at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC). During her tenure in this position, she also chaired the ASEAN Sub-Committee on Biotechnology (SCB). Notably, Mrs. Morakot is a distinguished Thai scientist with extensive contributions in the fields of microbiology and biotechnology. She holds a doctoral degree in microbiology, which she earned from the University of Rhode Island in the United States.
