Thai cassava producers are being urged to enhance their manufacturing processes to meet European consumers' growing concerns about climate change and carbon footprints. With Europe, particularly the UK, showing increasing demand for eco-friendly and transparent sourcing, there’s a significant opportunity for Thai producers to expand their market share in flour-based products. The Commerce Ministry highlights that the UK imported $6.82 million worth of Thai tapioca starch last year, stressing the need for sustainable practices to capitalize on this trend.
