Cassava Field Day: Showcasing Disease-Resistant Varieties
On August 30, 2023, the Cassava Development Institute of Thailand Foundation hosted a Cassava Field Day event. The goal was twofold: to highlight the success in selecting disease-resistant cassava varieties and to brainstorm strategies for their utilization in controlling the outbreak of cassava leaf spot disease in Thailand. Various stakeholders, including government agencies, researchers, and farmers, participated in the event. The Institute Foundation aims to promote the commercial planting of these disease-resistant varieties to address the growing issue of cassava leaf spot disease in Thailand.
