Principal Investigator of CCARS visited SCCB
Prof. Kaimian Li, from the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS), visited SCCB along with a delegation in November 2019. Center members and representatives from various offices attended. Prof. Peng Zhang presented the history and achievements of the CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, while Prof. Li discussed research directions in the context of cassava systems. They agreed to merge SCCB's technical expertise with CATAS' germplasm resources and enhance future collaboration. Financial experts praised CCARS fund management. Following the meeting, Prof. Li and team toured the lab and greenhouse, strengthening cooperation and promoting CCARS development.
